Sun, sand, and ocean make my little girl so happy, so we go to beaches as often. After going a few times, we finally found what works for us. I am sharing a few beach essentials that have helped us enormously. Scroll down to download the checklist at the bottom.
I am sharing what you need to have a perfect beach day.
Swim Outfits
Even if you don’t swim, swim outfits are needed for a perfect beach day. I was self-conscious that I never wanted to be on a beach. But, after seeing countless women flaunting whatever body they have, I am lovely with wearing a swimsuit on the beach – even if I am bloated that day.
Matt’s Swim Trunk is from Outerknown. It dries so quickly. I own swimsuits from two companies – Pink Dessert (they have mommy and me ones) and AlbionFit. Anouk’s swimsuits are from Hanna Anderson and Tea Collection.
After a beach day, you also need coverups for car and ice cream shops. I usually wear a long skirt and matt puts a long shirt on. We bring a new set of clothes for Anouk to change back into.
Many elderly folx doesn’t wear beach clothes, and that’s ok! For example, my parents never get in the water – they relax on the beach.
Skincare Essentials
Spray sunscreens work better for us – we Banana Boat for us and Neutrogena for her. Don’t forget Sunglass and Hat.
Toddler Beach Essentials
I wouldn’t say I like those loud-color toys. So we use a pastel shade from Etsy. I just purchased this Bamboo shovel and bucket from Willow and Sims so we can dig better holes. Pools are a must for beach days!
Don’t forget to bring the diaper bag.
A lot of other parents bring bodyboards, water wings, etc.

- We get a take-out (Sandwiches) from a local cafe near the beach.
- We bring chips, popcorn, and water from home.
- We always get ice creams after a beach day.
Beach Essentials – Extras

Massachusetts has some fantastic beaches, and we use these beach essentials to have a perfect beach day. Many parents opt for beaches where waves are milder as kids can have fun on their own. We pick the surfing beaches as we love large waves. Here are a few beaches we love.
- Singing Beach for big waves
- Good Harbor Beach (but too many seagulls).
- Narragansett Beach.
