With this post, my Berkshires dairy – 2016 will end.
New England is known for it’s fall color. We visited Acadia, Maine, NH but Berkshires stole our heart. Every year we visit Berkshires and I feel like I am living in heaven. These are my photos from last year.
I am writing a short list of things we loved.
Place we stay : Hotel on North.
{However, I am not happy with their service. So we will change the hotel next year}
Pleces to eat : Nudel (Must for dinner) and Haven Cafe and Bakery (must try Matcha Latte), Dottie’s Coffee lounge (Terrible staff though).
Towns we love : Stockbridge and Lenox
Shops we can’t live without : Pharmacy at Lenox downtown, Peace, Love and Chocolate (Cayenne pepper chocolate), Chocolate Springs Cafe (was okay), Oliva.
Places to visit: Mount Greylock State Reservation (you can drive up to the top), Hancock Shaker Village, Natural Bridge State Park. There are a lot of state parks and hiking trails – if you like hiking, don’t forget to bring a pair of sneakers.
Remember, you are here to relax so don’t fill your day with chores and simply enjoy the crisp fall weather.
If you like small cutesy-poo little towns in heart of New England, you will fall in love with Berkshires like we did. It’s not touristy, so you won’t see a ton of tourist with DSLRs. Which is why love going there, as we enjoy more in solitude.
I am open to any questions you have. Feel free to email me at storyofcooks@gmail.com with your questions. I will help as much as I can!
I have posted Berkshires – Fall Color #1 few days back. It was about 1000+ photos so it took a while to edit. I still have 100 something landscape photos and 200+ portrait photos to edit. Those can wait and will take time to develop as I am learning ‘How to edit landscape photos on PS.’
